View source for Driving a SQL Connection from an Excel range

The relational connection used by Tables and other objects can be driven from a range.

To do this, when creating the connection:
# Type a valid connection string into an Excel cell, for example: <br/>{{Code|1=Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=localhost;Initial Catalog=AdventureWorksDW;Trusted_Connection=Yes}}
# Select the Custom OLEDB Connection option from the connection type dropdown: [[File:Dynamic SQL Connection.png]]
# Click the Select Range button
# Select the cell you typed the connection string into in step 1
